Buyer questions
The things buyers usually ask first.
Why don't you name the businesses?
Staff, landlords, suppliers and customers haven't been told the businesses are for sale. The name, locations and full figures are released once you've registered and signed a confidentiality agreement.
What happens after I enquire?
We email you, then send a short buyer registration and a confidentiality agreement. Once those are back and reviewed, you receive the information pack with the trading figures.
What does the confidentiality agreement cover?
Standard terms for a private business sale: keep the information between you and your advisers, don't approach the business, its staff or suppliers, and use what you learn only to assess the purchase.
Can I visit the business?
You're welcome to visit as an ordinary customer at any time - please don't mention the sale. Inspections with the owner are arranged after the confidentiality agreement is signed.
Do I need finance in place to enquire?
No. Before the detailed records (leases, supplier invoices, payroll) are released, we ask for written evidence of funds or a finance pre-approval.
I'm a business broker - can I introduce a buyer?
Yes. Register your buyer through the listing's enquiry form before introducing them, so the introduction is on record.
